Mark Kennedy - Counsel

Mark Kennedy has a legal, science and business background.

After he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Memorial University in 1982, he worked in the oilfield industry for five years. He subsequently earned his law degree from Dalhousie University in 1990 and spent the following ten years working with a private law firm where he became a managing partner. His practice was focused on commercial law and litigation, where he acted as lead solicitor on numerous divestiture and acquisition files, and lead counsel for matters involving complex commercial litigation.

In addition to providing legal services on commercial and business matters, Mark acts as an independent counsel to the Board of Commissions of Public Utilities for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, representing the Board's interests during GRA and capital budget hearings.
